Dr. Hyer earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, and graduated with honors, being inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Her graduate research on digital detection of dental calculus was published in the Journal of Periodontology, and led to a finalist position in the John F. Prichard Graduate Research Competition.

Dr. Hyer has training in dental implants, bone grafting, laser therapy, advanced periodontal procedures, and oral and IV sedation. She especially enjoys esthetic procedures such as crown lengthening and gingival grafting. Dr. Hyer is board certified periodontist and serves as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.

Dr. Hyer enjoys traveling and her goal is to go to more countries than her age (so far, keeping up!) She has spent time practicing dentistry in Central America and plans to continue giving back throughout her career. In addition to travel, she enjoys hiking, skiing, painting, and spending time with her family and friends. After practicing for five years in the Denver area, Dr. Hyer is very happy to be back home in Montana with her husband Brian, their one year old daughter Lila, and their dog Novocaine (Nova.) She looks forward to meeting you!
